Coaching for (Career) Transitions

Are you feeling stuck in your work or life? Lacking the confidence or clarity to make changes you know, deep inside, you really need to make?

Perhaps negative self-talk is draining your energy, keeping you focused on what other people think of you, and stopping you from living authentically and joyfully from your own intuition and values.

I have been where you are and I get it. It’s hard! The good news is, there is a path forward and you don’t have to walk it alone.

We can work together in a few different ways:

To learn more about who I work with, how we’ll partner on the process, and what you can expect from coaching with Evergreen, read on below.

  • You may feel aligned to the Evergreen approach if you are currently:

    • Dissatisfied with your current job or career path but feeling lost or stuck about what you want to do (or can do) next

    • Experiencing or approaching a sense of burnout

    • Ready to make some real change in your life, including how you are BEING

    • Tired of wasting time and energy worrying what others think of you and trying to manage those insecurities and others' perceptions

    • Feeling a disconnect between various parts of yourself (e.g. the "work" side, the "creative" side, etc.); struggling to access both parts of yourself at one time or feel you have to choose just one

    • Willing to do the inner work to get to a better place, but you’ve seemingly tried everything you can do on your own

    • Struggling to connect to or to share what you're thinking or feeling internally; not able to easily identify or express your needs

    • Scared to speak up about things in work meetings or personal relationships

    • Living on auto-pilot, in survival-mode, and struggling to manage challenges that come up in work or life

    • Exhausted by striving for the next achievement or opportunity to prove yourself - to yourself or to others

    • Ready to own your part of the responsibility for your current experience and take action toward the life you want to build

Words that may describe you include: cognitive/in your head, relationship-driven/people-focused, empathic, people-pleaser, responsible, self-critical, achiever

Deep down you may fear: not being good enough, what could happen if people don't "like" you, not being competent enough or being "found out" as a fraud, making a mistake or doing it “wrong,” who you will BE if you make changes to yourself / a loss of identity or comfort with the familiar

And above all, you have an intuition that the way you've been doing things isn't really IT… that there is something MORE AUTHENTIC AND JOYFUL out there for you.

If you knew how, you would love to:

    • Get clear and be honest with yourself about what you truly want, need, and value and make choices that are aligned with and authentic to your truth and true self

    • Have confidence in what you're doing and worry less about what people think

    • Free up the headspace currently taken up by negative self-talk and reclaim that space and energy for other things

    • Take better care of yourself and establish boundaries that support greater balance

    • Know how to handle situations where conflict is present or communication feels challenging

    • Recall your strengths and identify the pathways that already exist where you can lean into those strengths even more

    • Have more lightness, more fun, taking things (or yourself) less seriously

If this sounds like you, let’s connect.

  • In addition to a deep love of people and a passion for accompanying them as they work toward and achieve their dreams, what draws me to this work is that I have been where you are and I know how it feels to want something more.

    About 6 years ago I was…

    • Always "in my head" and approaching things from a cognitive lens, totally disconnected from my body and emotions

    • Stuck in a cycle of achievement, a feeling of needing to “do” or “be” more, but not finding fulfillment in the pursuit or the results

    • Knowing I needed to pivot in my career, but not sure what I really wanted or would enjoy doing

    • Wanting to move away from the crushing weight of the "shoulds" and external validation I chased, but not knowing how to find the validation and “enoughness” I craved within myself

    • Sensing that there was something deeper, more embodied and authentic that I could be experiencing, yet having no clue how to begin to shift my default mode

    • Highly self-aware, and yet unable to move beyond that awareness into action to make changes

    • In need of a partner, new knowledge, better strategies and tools, and support to explore and navigate to this way of being that I was beginning to dream up

And I got the support and help I needed - from coaches, professors, supervisors, friends, family, and, most importantly, from within myself.

Going through my own self-development journey led me not only to my work as a coach and partner on other people’s growth journeys, but into a deeper, more connected and peaceful relationship with myself. My journey is nowhere near over, in fact, the more I learn the more I see that it’s an ongoing, lifelong process. And yet, I can truthfully say that these experiences - chief among them being coached myself - changed my life. I know they can do the same for you. Are you ready?

  • Where I work:

I am based in Amsterdam, Netherlands and offer in-person and virtual coaching sessions. If you’re local to Amsterdam, we can meet at Stories on Emmaplein. If you live somewhere else, we will meet on Zoom.

I also offer (optional) walking coaching sessions, where we go for a walk together in-person or put in our headphones and walk together from wherever we are.

    How we’ll work together:

    ● We will co-create agreements and a plan for our coaching partnership at the start

    ● You set the agenda for each session (e.g. you decide what you want to focus on) and take ownership of working toward your goals, including time outside of our sessions to practice and reflect

    ● As your coach, I will manage the process and facilitate the conversations, serving as an accountability partner and asking questions to stimulate insights and learning

    ● Together we will explore and apply learning from conversations, tools, resources, and assessments to enable you to think likand be the person and professional you want to be

See what past clients have to say.

  • If this approach is sparking something within you, I’d love to meet you. Let’s have a short, free, no-obligations conversation to learn more about whether we might work well together.

Or, if you’re ready to experience a mini coaching experience through the Career ReFresh, you can sign up here.
