Witnessing our own growth

(Originally posted on LinkedIn)

Witnessing our own growth is one of the most joyful and empowering practices we can do.

This morning, I had the chance to look back over the last 6 months and come face-to-face with the intentional shifts I’ve made in both personal and professional life.

A session with my therapist this morning was the spark to make this time, but once I started writing things down I found I couldn’t stop. There were so many things to recognize and express.

It might seem like this kind of exercise comes easily to someone who works as a coach, but I will tell you that slowing down and acknowledging myself has historically been one of the hardest things for me to do.

Even this act of pausing, reflecting, honoring and soaking in these realizations is a huge win for me.

Here’s a small sample of the things I’m acknowledging myself for today:

🤕 Feeling more empowered in dealing with health challenges like migraines - and finding peace there

💢 Building and using stronger boundaries in moments where I tend to abandon myself to focus on others

🫶🏻 Deepening and investing in my relationship with myself, including listening more to intuition, emotions, and my body

What shifts do you want to acknowledge yourself for?

Share them here or sit down with your own journal. Then, soak them in…
